| I understand that under wage garnishment, the employer of a judgment debtor is directed to withhold a portion of the judgment debtor's wages earned (typically up to 25% for a money judgment) and then make this payment directly to the judgment creditor.
My question is: What does wage garnishment include as income? In particular, does it include pension as wages? Social Security as wages? Is there a list of items that would be considered wages (and assets)? I understand in some states these may vary. |
