Unhappy

I own a condo unit and have a parking space in a carport. There have been 2 stray cats living around my carport for years and are always climbing all over the cars. The tenants complain but nothing is ever done by the HOA. I just bought a new car and the cats are leaving cat fur and sticky residue on my hood, as well as dirty paw prints. Is the HOA responsible for getting rid of these cats? Isn't it the same type of issue if there were a rats, wolf, dog, or other type of problem where they should have the responsibility to remove them from the property? By the way, tenants are NOT allowed to let their cats outside of their unit (it's in the DCC&R's). Any advice you could provide would be appreciated!

Have you filed a written complaint with the HOA and the management company? The HOA may say that it is your carport so you take care of the problem.
The HOA is not responsible to get rid of a werewolf in your carport. Read your By-Laws and purrtinent condo docs.

If you're SURE they are strays, call animal control. They should be able to come and trap the cats.
