I live in IL
In a townhome community.

Just this past weekend the HOA for no apparent reason removed & ripped out a part/section of the sidewalk along the front entrance to my home.

I was NOT NOTIFIED whatsoever that this was going to be done. I don't even recall seeing any physical damage that would require it being repaired or removed. Futhermore, its NOVEMBER!!! We just got our first SNOW today as well...talk about terrible timing...How idiotic is it to start such a project in FREEZING TEMPERATURES!!

Now my walkway has a big hole in it & Thanksgiving is this THURSDAY!!! So my family & friends CANNOT use my front entry to get to my home per it is now a safety hazard along my walkway....& will more than likely be stuck like this until SPRING per the temperatures.... so CHRISTMAS is now ruined as well....which is why this was such a senseless act to not wait until SPRING to begin with!!

My walkway is now an EYESORE & for NO reason!! IF there WAS an issue, it could have waited until SPRING, per now I'm stuck with this big HOLE along my walkway because its TOO COLD to re-fill it!!! So what was the point of ripping it up??? To destroy the front of my house??? IDIOTS!!!

I'd like to know, can I SUE for damages.... & for the fact that I WAS NOT notified beforehand?
