| HOA non-responsive What is the name of your state? FL
We recently sold our home in Florida and it is suppose to close on Sept. 28th. Right now the only problem is that the title company has sent the HOA an estoppel letter to complete and send back (On Sept 6th). The president was contacted several times and he stated he would complete it and send it back and it still hasn't been done. Now he's telling them they need to contact the treasurer. Membership in the HOA is required so title company says they must have this letter prior to the closing of the property. I guess my question is, if the HOA holds up the closing because they are not performing their duties, can they be held liable for damages if the buyer cannot close on time? |
