HOA Wall - Easement

What is the name of your state? Florida

I bought a property with a 20'x20' easement (identified on survey) in one corner for the HOA's wall. The survey shows the wall is clearly over the easement on both sides by several feet. Do I have any recourse or rights in getting the HOA to a) remove the wall or b) compensate me for the encroachment?

**A: what is the easement for and why not execute an encroachment agreement?

The easement is for the HOA's wall (sign).

What is an encroachment agreement? Would this entitile me to some form of compensation?

If that's the case, do I have have any options? Can I remove the portion of tthe wall that is outside the easement? It would seem there should be a limit to how far the encroachment can go, or else what good is an easement?

OK-- and I asked what an encroachment agreement is.

Why the sarcastic comment? Did I offend someone?

**A: there is a cool search feature on this website. Go to it and type in the words "encroachment agreement" Feel free to do the same on any major search engine.

Thanks for the Web tutorial. I though this was a source for legal advice, but perhaps I expected too much. I'll find a source with some expertise in real estate law.
