homeowner insurance

in the state of missouri, if a person has their mortgage insurance included in their mortgage payment and they fall behind on the mortgage payment, can they still file a insurance claim and the policy be considered current? my friend's house was robbed and she is currently behind on her mortgage payment.

The mortgage insurance is not homeowners insurance.
Your friend needs to check with her insurance agent.
