how to allow pets at condo

[b]I live in a condo in Broward county florida, this property was originally an adults only condo. Children have been allowed for 10 years now. There is a no pets policy, but now with so many children who want pets, many people want to change the policy, how can we go about this. Is signing a petition with the majority enough to bring to the association?[COLOR=darkred][font=arial]

You need to review your condo docs.

The "no pets policy" probably eminates from the condo Bylaws. At the next Director's meeting propose a change to the By-laws. Be specific. Address the number, type and size of pets you want to see allowed. At the next annual meeting, put it to a vote. You can normally gather proxies for those who do not attend. A petition by itself will not change the Bylaws unless this procedure is specifically outlined in the Bylaws. .
