How can they do this??????

What is the name of your state? Florida

My mom has a piece of property that she has a home on. She allowed my sister to put a mobile on her land years ago. My sister has since abandoned the mobile and the mortgage has been forclosed. My mom just wants this mobile off her property but the mortgage company is just refusing to do anything about moving it. I had her send the mortgage company a letter stating that she would like monthly lot rent from them for storing "their" mobile home. They have now informed her that they are just giving her the mobile. They are mailing her the title. So now if she wants it off her property she will have to pay someone to move it. She never wanted this mobile. Can they do this?

If she gets the title sent to her very easy solution tell her to sell it and the buyer has to remove it with in a certain time frame after closing she can sell it AS IS with no waranty on anything . the only thing she needs to do is make sure she gets enough money to pay for having the sewer pipe cut and capped and having the houses water line cut and capped If its private well its even more important to have that line capped so no contamination of ground water occurs and ruins any one elses well . surely she shoud be able to get someone to buy it for a few hundred . Other wise perhaps the local fire dept would like to use it for practice as long as they agree in writing to remove the debris afterwards ???

Farmer J - Does she have to accept the title to the mobile home? I think it is their responsibility to maintain, move, or sell it. Doesn't she have every right to demand the rent money until the mortgage company handles this situation? They should also pay for the sewer changes.

Seems to me that the lender is taking the easy way out.
