How to get a property lein? What is the name of your state? Utah We are a small business in Utah. We have a customer that has continually ignored an invoice from us for work completed in December 2005. The invoice reflects equipment installed, labor performed, freight and sales tax, all of which we have paid for in good faith to our vendors. In hopes of getting payment from our customer, we would like to put a lein on the customers business property but are unsure of how to go about it. Can you help put us in the right direction? | Maggie, you will need to file a lawsuit and, if you win, then perfect your lien...meaning do whatever you are supposed to do in your state to make sure the judgment becomes a lien against the debtor.

| Was this work done by your company at the property you wish to lien? If so, was the last work done within your state's mechanics lien filing period?
