We live in Wisconsin and own my husbands parents home & property.. We pay all taxes ect... They are the most impossible people in the world. We want to take out a loan against the property to finish an addition on our own home and are having major problems.. where can I find out what our rights are?? They will not sign off life of estate for any reason.. Help they have already cost us $60,000 in leans against the property. Now it is free and clear and we need a loan where do I look?? What are my rights???

Exclamation

ok... Black and white..17 years ago my husband took over the family property for 1 dollar because it was going on an auction block in that time has paid 60,000 in judgements against the property. The property is now free and clear, we have a quit claim deed in both our names... subject to life lease interest to his parents. We want to borrow money against the property and they wont sign off the life of estate so we can borrow money. Do they have to?? All mortgage companies we are dealing with want them to but they are impossible plain english ( they hate me ) and are worried that I will take everything. all we want is a loan where can I look for info on our rights to the property??
