What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? North Carolina
My son to be x wife has listed our martiall home with a realtor -without my knowledge or consent-is that not against NC law and what recourse do i have against her and or the realtor? I was told the home went into foreclosure-the loan was in her name only but the deed is in both

It's lot illegal to list it.
If you're on the deed it would be impossible to actually accept an offer on it or convey it. The broker will still want to be paid even if she can't legally sell it. It would most likely be a civil matter between her and the buyer and the broker, unless some fraudulent activity or forgery happened.

If you are on the deed you would have heard if it was being foreclosed upon.
