    Inheriting Property~ How to add spouse to Deed?

    What is the name of your state? CALIfornia

    Property is going through Probate and will be distributed to me.
    How do i add my spouse's name to the deed?

    Run a search here, this question has been answered many times before.

    That said, is there a reason why you want to add you spouse to the deed? Since you are acquiring this house via inheritance, the house is NOT community property until and unless you "transmute" the property into community property -- for example, by adding you wife to the deed.
