Joint ownership

I f I own a house jointly with my fiancee and I want to end the relationship. What are my rights? Can I force her to sell or buy me out? Mass.

My response:

Yes, you can sue her for "Partition."

In this type of lawsuit, you're asking a judge to order the two of you to either sell the home and divide the proceeds on an equitable basis; or, to require one of you to refinance the home into your own name, and to pay the other party their equitable share.
