Is that why you must have auto insurance so that the passengers in that auto are covered??

HomeGuru response: you are correct.
Remember 7 years ago when you did not file a claim or submit your medical bills to the insured's insurance company? That's why they asked you to pay it as the responsible party. Or maybe the driver/owner did not have insurance. Whatever hapened, you were the one that did not resolve the medical bills. How did you not know that the bills were not paid. You signed authorizing treatment and agreeing to pay the bills. When the bills were not paid, you were sent demand/collection letters. Then there was a judgement placed against you since you defaulted.

How will I dispute this ? $9,700 is a lot to pay ! I never received notice of the bills . I assumed the Auto Insurance had taken care of it . I dont even know the owner of the auto or the insurer. I was brought to the hospital in a ambulance .

Hire an attorney to review your case.
I think it is too late to dispute although the attorney maybe able to negotiate and settle the claim for a lesser amount.

Just my $0.02 worth....

Though your original post was a little confusing, I BELIEVE you meant to say that you were a passenger in a car and was injured in an accident. You believed that the medical bills were paid by the drivers insurance and just found out, after 7 years, that the bills were not paid and a judgment was rendered against you.

If my assumption is correct, then:
1) You are correct, the drivers insurance should have paid for your injuries at the time of the accident.
2) After 7 years, it is far too long to try to get this resolved through the courts and probably too long for the insurance company. Their 'direct' liability ended with the statute of limitations. (You could possibly write the insurance company about this matter if you still have your documentation, but it would probably be unsuccessful).
3) At this time, you appear to have no way to clear the debt unless you pay it. However, you are very probably near the end of the allowed negative report period (7 years) and this debt will probably soon come off the report.

Also, in closing, I can't help but think this entire situation seems like an extreme event... you incur medical bills, the insurance company 'forgets' to pay, you don't get any bills, you don't get any legal notices, no one trys to contact you after the judgment was rendered.... seems like far too many "oh-oh's" and mistakes.

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!
