what is the law in louisiana concerning judgements against property that belonged to a now deceased person? it looks like there were some loans taken out with the property as collateral and the person died at least 2 years ago, now there are two financial institutions looking to place judgements against the land for non-payment. the land in question was divided among the surviving children. any advice?
