I own the mineral rights to 70 acres in Texas. An individual wants to lease
these rights @ $50.00 per year for 5 years. If a mineral is discovered on the
land, who will receive the profit, the owner or the leasee?

Why would anyone want to pay for a lease for mineral rights if all of the profits went to the owner?
