Cool

land sale

I had purchased a small piece of land in Gilmer County, GA in the late 1980's. I had to let the finance company (now defunked) have the property back in the early 1990's. The finance company left the property in my name all this time, and I continue to receive tax notices on the property. I recently recieved an offer to sell the property through the mail. I went online and could find no leins (tax or otherwise) on the property, and it is still listed in my name. My questions are: "Can I legally sell the property? And can I sell with the stipulation that ANY taxes or association fees due be the sole responsibility of the buyer."? I would like to finally get out of this situation with the property. Please advise.
Thank you!

Go to a real estate title company in the county where the land is located and have them run a title report on it.

The report will show you who can sell it and if there are any liens on it.
