I was evicted and my landlord obtained a
judgment for $600. A month later I received a letter from a collection agency asking for the amount of the judgment. I sent them a check for $200. The next month I recive a
statement saying that i owe $1200. Puzzled
by this i called the collection agency and they said that the extra $600 added to the bill was their collection fee. Since i
don't have the money for a lawyer and no knowledge of the law i have ignored their letters for the past year. I would like to take care of this matter before it really gets out of hand....need advice and need to know if lawyer is needed and how much a lawyer will cost......
