i pay $600 a month to rent a little house on 7 acres of land. This is supposed to be my home and it has yet to feel that way.

My landlord is always here! He brought a truck back to the house one night and now he and his friends are going to be tearing it apart on the weekends. He said that some weekends his friends will be here but not him, I don't know these people and we have some very expensive electronic equipment and other things. How can he just come back here any time and take away our privacy? I feel like I'm paying this man all that money just to take care of his house. I feel like I have no rights! Can he do this?

I guess I should mention that I live in Pennsylvania... I alos have a few other problems with this landlord...

After we signed the lease and moved in he informed us that the ground was filled with garbage from the local dumb with a few feet of topsoil put over top. Now there's garbage, glass, medical vials coming up all over the place.

Before we moved in he told us we'd have the use of a shed, next to the house, after he got all of his things out... when he took his things out of the shed he told us he was selling it and that we couldn't use it. There is nothing on the lease about the shed and I'm not sure if we have any rights there or not.

This guy is terrible, he has no prior experience as a landlord and he has never rented from anyone...

I'd really appreciate any advice you can give me, I have no idea if I'm being walked all over, but it sure feels like it.

Thank you...

You are being walked on and in addition be careful of what you walk on. The land may have been used as an illegal medical bio-waste dump. I would move out of there fast.
