What is the name of your state?
California My daughter and her husband lived rent free three years in house owned by his parents. (they owned house first but parents bought house due to finances) . Husband committed suicide 1 year ago . His parents agreed
to let her and their two kids live there rent free. Today she received a 60 day eviction notice. Does she have any rights?

My response:

Yes. Your daughter has the right to live there up to the 60 day mark, or take her chances in court, lose, and then be bodily thrown out by a Sheriff's officer - - including the kids.
