Lawyer says no

When the title office closed on my home they did so w/o a mortgage payoff. WE closed any way w/ the promise from title office that they would wire the money in our bank account. After a month, and w/ myself finally getting a pay off, they sent the money. But they screwed up and sent the money twice.

Because of all the money they cost me in interests, late fees, etc.. I havent sent it back, not to mention all the stress I went through!

Anyway, now a lawyer callled said i had to send it back and he froze my bank account and would unfreeze it when he recieved the money back. He also said I couldnt deduct for incured intrest, etc....They are located In Michigan, and my account hasn't been froze as of yet, I think he's trying a scare tactic...

Can he freeze my account, am I even liable to give the money back with out a court order? And should I hire my own Lawyer?

Thank you,
Madgal In OREGON

You already posted this same thing. Stick to your initial thread and do not start a new thread.

My response: you are just confusing matters. The title of your post: "Lawyer says no" is not consistant with your statement "lawyer called....and froze my bank account" and at the end of your post you state "should I hire my own Lawyer".

I tried to post on my original thread, but no reply....

I did have an attorney call and he said he had my bank account froze ( I don't think he did as I checked) My questions are, can he and can I legally deduct the money they caused me by not getting the payoff and do I without a court order, have to give the money back**************

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!
