I have purchased a home (in Nova Scotia Canada)from the vendor(listed on MLS as only one person) and have satisfied all conditions to conclude the sale but the occupant of the home the vendor's ex husband refuses to vacate. We have invested thousands of dollars to relocate to this area and now have our furniture in storage. We want to put a les pendens on the property if we cannot close by the extended date of Sept 26. We are considering a lawsuit against the vendor and the real estate agent who listed the property. Any ideas??What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

What part of "US LAW ONLY" do you not understand?
Even in Canada, it is Lis Pendens by the way. It's Latin, not French. Lis for dispute, Pendens for pending.
