Liability after a home sale

Prior to sale, our home was inspected and found to have a problem with finger system. Board of Health was contacted by us (sellers). After multiple inspections and corrections made per advice of BOH.. Letter was written by BOH attesting system was working. At closing seller placed $12000 in escrow for a year for added insurance that system would work in that period of time. Buyers now have had further BOH involvement. What is our liablity ither thqn the $12000 already placed in good faith. We have already signed over $1200 for inspections and work bdone in yard.
