What is the name of your state? Florida
Our HOA hired a lawyer to collect on our past due account. After going back and forth regarding the payment plan, we sent in the first check with a letter stating what we would be able to pay every month and they accepted that check. We sent in 2 more checks and they returned them stating that they wanted the balance paid in full and the current quarters dues paid and since we did not do that they ended up placing a lien on our property. They said if we don't pay the lien within 45 days they will foreclose on our home. Can they do that?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
