What is the name of your state?west virginia.
i bought a home in 2000. the mortgage company i went through performed a title/deed search and it came back clear. now, i am trying to refinance my home and the new mortgage company performed a title search and they found a lean against the home that occurred in 1996. the lien is not against the owner. it is against her grandson, whose name was not on the title at all. we bought it from a family who received the home in a will, and it was changed over to their names the day that we bought it. it was at that time that the grandson's name appeared on the will. what can we do about this?
