Liens from Code enforcement on propertyWhat is the name of your state? Florida. I was given a piece of property via quit claim deed. I have just discovered that code enforcement had placed two liens on the property for non-compliance. One lien involved fines for lot cleaning and the other lien is for demolition of a structure. I am wondering if there is any way to get these liens removed without paying the outragous amount. I was not the property owner at the time the liens were issued and once I took possession of the property it was brought up to code within 30 days. Thank you for your help. Stephanie |

| Q: I am wondering if there is any way to get these liens removed without paying the outragous amount. A: No. Q: I was not the property owner at the time the liens were issued and once I took possession of the property it was brought up to code within 30 days. A: The liens run with the land; it doesn't matter who the owner is. |
