West Virginia, I bought an acre of property from a 6 acre parcel of land. The deed was produced by a lawyer without benefit of a tilte search. I have discovered there is a lien on the original 6 acres. Am I responsible for the entire lien?

Of course not, but the lien remains on title to your property (for the entire amount) since it was recorded on title to the entire 5 acre parcel prior to your purchase. The attorney is an idiot.
