mortgage contract mistake

What is the name of your state? texas

In 2000 I and my husband took out another loan on our house
with same mortgage co. that did the first one. In fact really encouraged us to. In 2001 I receive a letter about the irs tax not showing the same name as the social security no. Knowing I would never make a mistake like this I called them and was really upset. It turned out it was my sister's ss. no. They in away accused me but assured them I would never do such a thing espeicially to my sister. Our no.'s are the same but end in a different last no. I insisted on seeing the application and the first one too. Someone told me they burned thos papers in another location she did'nt know where. After many phone calls, and one to my mother to find out whose ss. no. it was because there are five if us kids, and if it had of been my brother there's no telling what he would have done . My sister who is a teacher of 25 yares was upset, but I assured her they would fix it. Well they did'nt. I get the same notice this year. This was not me on the application they ran through, and probally would'nt have gotton the loan. I was so nervous about doing that second loan I did'nt look at everything. I just very hesitantly signed. Is this their fault? They took copies of my and my husband's social ss. cards and I.D. I can't believe this was ever a legal loan now. Please advise me.

**A: this matter is a simple matter to resolve in principal but it is not going to be easy to resolve in reality. Consult a banking law attorney.
