mortgage payoff statement

What is the name of your state? nj

It has been over 3 months now and after numerous attempts by phone, mail and email, I have not been successful in getting my mortgage company to explain $2600 in "corporate advances" listed on a mortgage payoff statement I requested.

Before getting an attorney, is there anything I can do to get their attention so that they cooperate and provide me with an itemized list of what the $2600 in corporate advances consists of? I don't think it is right to charge me something without any substantiation.

Thanks
Joe/NJ
