I hold a mortgage and note on a friend's home in Michigan where I also reside. I would like to reduce her interest rate. What forms do I need to file with the register of deeds. I have filed the original mortgage contract and note. Thanks.

I don't believe that you are required to formalize this (what I assume to be) voluntary reduction in interest.

Just send the other person a letter confirming the 'new' interest rate and what the new payment will be.
