I live in a townhome and I share a common bedroom wall with my new neighbors. I have lived here for many years and have never had this problem before, but I can't get one night of uninterrrupted sleep since they moved in. For two months I slept on the sofa, which ruined my back. I have complained to the association, they claim they have written violations. I have gone through the expense of putting insulation in that wall, hammered the floor boards in my room. I am now at the point where I have to take sleeping aides just to stay asleep till morning. What legal recourse can I take concerning neighbors who are up till dawn?:lease help!!

**A: call the police for each occurance and file reports. Then file a court complaint.

Is there anyone on this site who can answer my questions? Obviously Guru has never lived in a condo, or he is an extremely heavy sleeper. Noise problems like these are very common in condos. I guess you get what you pay for when you ask for free advice. Thanks anyway Guru.

**A: I think that those sleeping pills have affected your brain functions.
Dontcha know that your new neighbors are newly weds tryin Viagra. That's why they are up all the time.
And you have no written proof that the HOA actually served the early morning hours sexcapade couple with the violation notices. Have you even spoken to these people yourself?

What exactly is the noise they are making? If it is loud music or fighting or something to that affect the police will respond. It is so hard to live around people like that. Try talking to them. If that doesnt' work, then go the legal course. I lived in a town home for many years and could hear my neighbors going to the bathroom at nite so I know how ya feel.

Every couple of hours during the night I can hear the guy in the condo below mine cough, gag, and spit with the whole process lasting about a minute. Now, whenever they're out of town I can't sleep.

Try getting yourself a sound machine. I personally run a fan at night and it drowns out alot of noise. I know many people who use these sound machines and they say they work wonderfully.
