nuisance and HOA

I live in Texas and my homeowner assoc has
declared something a nuisance without formal meetings. What is legally considered a nuisance?? The lack of any due process bothers me , what prevents the 5 people on the board from declaring anything they want a nuisance? What legal limits are there to such a vague clause?
