old lienWhat is the name of your state? New Jersey I bought a condo in a building in June 2002, I did the closing without any problem, after 8 months I received with every owner in the building a letter from the management association of the building stating that the building was on lien before November 2001 due to an old water bill that never paid since then. My lawyer told me that the lien doesn’t show up during the title search. After November 2001 with the new management everything was paid including the water. My question is am I responsible for the portion of my unit of this old bill or the previous owner from who I bought the unit? the amount is 2048 USD for each unit. |
