owner of easement

What is the name of your state? MA
I just purchased a house in MA with an inground pool and my neighbor informed me that half of my pool is on his property and that I have an easement for that. I was never told this prior to purchasing the property and was lead to believe that the property line was after the pool.I would like to know my rights as the easement holder, does the owner of that property have the right to just take back his land even though the pool has been there for 20 years or does he have rights to come on that property and tell me what I should and shouldn't do on it because he owns it?

Help!

What does your deed say? Or are you content to take your neighbor's word for this?

**A: Did you have a real estate agent or attorney? If not, why not? Before closing you should have ordered a boundary and enroachment survey. And also reviewed the preliminary title report that would have noted any recorded easements on title.

**A: before answering your questions, we would need to know the results of a current survey and prelim.
