2 years ago my husband and I moved into a home we wanted to purchase, but did not have the credit. The bank wouldn't finance so the owner agreed to carry the note until we invested snough for a down payment with the bank. In 2 years we have deposited 13,000.00
and the bank has agreed to take us on.Only now at closing time the people are devorcing and the wife won't sign now! She did sign a lease agreement with the option to buy two years ago. It is on file with the title company. What can we do?

It really depends on the papers you signed at the time. You need a professional to go thru them and tell you what they say. If they are silent, then a lawyer's letter may make the parties agree to comply with their oral promises.
