We are buying a house in Oklahoma. It is owner finance and we gave him a deposit on the home. All agreements were made between buyers and seller and we all signed a contract that I typed up. Now after liveing in the home it is starting to fall down around us. All the brick is cracking and ceilings and walls are comeing apart. We are ready just to pack up and move out befor it all crumbles down on us. Is there any legal way of us getting back our down payment on the home since the seller did sell us a lemon?

It is unfortunate that you did not use a Realtor or a real estate attorney. Did you get a home inspection? Now you really need an attorney to review all the documents, the applicable State real property disclosure law and make a nondisclosure of material facts and misrepresentation claim and demand recission.

The fact that you chose to be your own real estate agent and attorney is dangerous and tantamount to gambling with thousands of dollars.
