partner hiding deed and legal documents from partnerHello. I purchased a business with my sister 15 years ago. We bought it from my mother. My sister has been hiding the deed, incorporation papers, and all legal documents from me and won't let me have any access to seeing them. I have asked her to see them, and to get a safety deposit box so we can both have access but she refuses. I believe I have a right to see these? I would like to know how I can force her to let me see these documents. I live in Michigan. |

| Geez, I don't know. She's your sister, not mine. |

| I really need some good advice. She isn't the kind of sister a person usually has. She thinks she is the boss and has always thought she was better than me. We don't even work together. Please someone help me so I KNOW WHAT to do. Thank you. ![]() |

| Go to your State business registration office and get copies made of the incorporation and other pertinent docs. Then order a title report and oeder a copy of the deed and other real estate docs. Then when you have these write back. Do not tell her what you are doing. |
