What is the name of your state? alabama
my mother deeded part of her land to someone
(her ex- son-in-law)
while she was gone ,he had the survery to come out to surver the spot but instead of showing them what she intended for him to have he had the stakes put where he wished
now the property line runs thru a portion of her home
we have tried to talk to him ourself but he refuses
so now we are forced to find an attorney
my mothers state of mind is not very well she is easliy miss lead to belive anything
now we have talked to 3 local laywers and they all tell us its this matter and then the other says its a differnt matter
bottom line my ex- brother-in-law coned her out of the majority of her property
could you please advise me as to what to do

Here in Washington in our county (and I think it applies to all cities/counties in the state) you have to have a formal lot line adjustment to move a property line. To create a new property within an existing one you would have to have a formal subdivision of the property. Neither of these can be done simply by a deed or a survey. Like I said though, that applies to where I am at and your requirements may be different.

**A: there are numerous and specific issues here invovling the title, legal description of the prooerty, title insurance, fraud, possibly the elderly and the issues are rather complex. You need to hire an attorney as your issues can not be dealt with over an internet site such as this one.
