What is the name of your state? Texas
My brother in law passed away in Feb. The family wants to give his house to his daughter, everyone is in agreement. However, the title is no where to be found. We will have to have it to probate the property. Where do we get it and what is the process? What is the name of your state?

The title has nothing to do with it. Unless there is a will leaving the home to the daughter then probate will be required.

If this is a mobile home, then contact the DMV...otherwise, a deed can be recovered from the Registrar's office in the county where the property is located.
