Problem with Utility Company

I live in New York City.

I own a brand new construction. The electrical company put a transformer box on my property when the house was built. When I moved in I put a fence around all my propery. Now the utility company wants me to reroute the fence around their transformer box so they can see it from the outside. According to the easement, they have to be given access to do whatever they need with their equipment. And I do have a gate to the backyard allowing them to enter the backyard and access the transformer. But they are saying that it still has to be visible from the street (btw, the street is a private and not a public street). If i do that I am going to loose a big piece of my property. The utility company easement doesn't mention anything about not putting a fence, but does metnion that anytime access has to be provided.
They are threatening to take me to court if I don't comply.
What do i do? Please help with advice

Thank you much.

Seems pretty simple to me..... comply with their request.... or go to court.
With those very limited 'options', I really don't see anything that the forum can help with.

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

I agree and that's the shocking truth.

My response:

New construction in New York City?

What did they do, knock down a tenement building?

Are they revitalizing Brooklyn, Hell's Kitchen, or the Five Corners area?

IAAL, I guess you never heard of the NYC Slum Revitalization HUD Program Section 8,9 &10.

My response:

No, I guess I haven't! (he said, tongue-in-cheek).

What's troubling about the thought of "new construction" in New York City is that in thinking about this, I get these nightmare images of a beautiful, California influenced, Ranch style, home in the middle of a bombed-out-looking Brooklyn, sitting there like an "island" in the center of rubble, decay, drug dealers and prostitution.

Must be very near to Times Square.

P.S. Have you ever seen the "Five Corners" area? It still looks and feels like the current movie, "Gangs of New York". Except, now, the "gangs" have been replaced with Mafia. Although, I have to admit, the Chinese food is some of the best outside of Shanghai you'll ever taste.

I 've been there once and that's enough.
