problems with non marital co-ownership of home

What is the name of your state? Minnesota

My Girlfriend ended a relationship with her ex and is trying to get her name off of a mortgage for a home they bought together, they have owned the home for over 2 years now and he wont refinance to get her name off and she refuses to keep her name on the home as he is for lack of a better term trying to ruin her credit. They also have some other accumulated debt together and she dont want anything out of all of this but to just get her name of the mortgage. Is legal action a good option or what can she do?

If her name is on the deed, tell her to file a petition for PARTITION for SALE and be rid of both the house and the debt.
