What is the name of your state? NY
We have lived in our home for 19 years. When we purchased it, there was a beautiful view of the lake. Along the property line was a very young row of pine trees. Those trees are now very large and have taken away our view. They have also grown significantly over our property line; we are unable to even mow our lawn near the trees. We contacted the neighbors to ask if we could trim or "top" the trees, to regain some of our view and yard--- they refused to allow us to do so (and frankly were very upset that we even asked!).
Do we have any rights here?
Any advice or direction would be very much appreciated.
Thank you.
