Hi, I live in Penna. I had my property surveyed somewhere around 1982. After the survey I erected a split rail fence around the boundary about 6-9" in from the stakes. I used string from peg to peg to make the fence line. I have a copy of the survey updated in 1993, showing the fence inside the survey plot. My neighbor just had his yard surveyed and his stakes are about 8" or so on my side of my fence. I pounded my stakes into the ground after I erected my fence. What happens now? Who's stakes do we go by? MY fence has been up for 20 years.

Talk to your surveyor because they may have not used the laser equipment that they use today and your last survey may be incorrect.
