purchse option, put option

What is the name of your state?Wisconsin: Two months ago I signed a contract with a seller giving me an exclusive option to purchase a commercial property from him within 9 months. Part of the contract includes a buy-back agreement, or put option.

Now, the seller has cold feet and wants out of the contract. He claims that his attorney has advised him that the can simply void the contract at his whim.

The contract was written by a reale state attorney, duly signed and notorized.

Is the contract binding? Is there a legal remedy if he sells the property to someone else during my purchase option period? If he tries to sell the property, can I block the sale?

Thanks in advance.

So, what did your attorney say when you asked him those questions??

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

His responses so far have seemed somewhat less than forthcoming. I've begun to have concerns regarding the competency of my attorney and decided to ask the question here.

And now the problem.... we can't read the contract, so really no way that anyone here can accurately 'guess' as to its validity.
