What is the name of your state? Calif.
I made the payments on a mobile home w/2.5 acres in Calif. for my girlfriend (her
name on grant deed) However, she is going to be moving to another
state soon : ( and wants to deed it over to me. We thought we'd see if we
could accomplish this outside of escrow, if possible, with another Grant
Deed listing me as Grantee, with consideration of 10 dollars. Is this
feasible/legal? (We were going to ask about a Quit Claim deed, but aren't they used only when there is more than one person having an interest in the property?)
