north carolina - i obtained a quit claim deed on property that had fallen off the tax map from the man whose property surrounds two sides. the property owner on the other side has a gate obstructing entrance to my land and has dumped/stored junk on the land. there is a legal road/easement he is just down right mean and has blocked it. i have tried writing to the man (doesn't have a phone); he responded by dumping asphalt on my property. someone suggested to me that he may have more claim on the land (squatters rights) than i do even though i went the proper route. i am sending a registered letter and have plans to speak to the local magistrate, but wanted to know if i have specific rights with the quit claim and if this man may have any legal rights. thank you in advance. |
