Can anyone help me? My former husband is insisting I sign a Quit claim removing me from the title of a home that I, solely, hold the mortgage for. Is this not suicidal?

Absolutely. Tell him that you will relinquish ownership at closing of the refinance that removes your name from the mortgage obligation.
