I'm not sure if i made myself clear, the bank (and several other businesses in the area) collected raffle $ for the Rotary Club, which was raising money for a non-profit org. in town... I still feel the situation was shady does the previous law info. you posted still apply??

My response:

Only if they registered and received authority to conduct the raffle. It's kind of convoluted, but re-read the law I sent to you for detailed info. You may wish to write a letter to the Bank officer, informing him of your "dismay" that someone related to the organization of the raffle would "somehow" win the prize. Normally, organizers, and their families, are disqualified from such events due to the "spector" or foul play or cheating. I'm sure he would "want to be above suspicion" now wouldn't he?
