What is the name of your state? CALIFORNIA

My husband was previously engaged to someone else, they had a joint checking account. She forged his name and withdrew $137,000 of his money to put down on a house in her name. She convinced him that the house should be in her name only because it would affect his sons financial aid in college. She then drove him out of the house.
What can we do to get his money back????
need help desparately....

Since the money was in a joint account, it was hers as much as it was his.

So, the answer is, there is nothing he can do.

Agreed. There was no reason to forge any signatures -- if it was a joint checking account, it was essentially her money to begin with.

That said, how long were they together?
