REAL ESTATE LISCENSE DISCLOSURE

question: in the state of georgia, is a purchaser required by law to disclose in the contract the he has a real estate liscense? if so, does it matter if the liscense is in another state or if it is active or inactive??

Yes, the licensing status of either a Buyer or Seller must be disclosed as this is a consumer issue. Licensed real estate agents are deemed to have superior knowledge as compared to the average layperson.
It does not matter if the license is from out of State or in an inactive status.

In addition to the State licensing requirement, the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Realtors also require the same disclosure. Thus the Georgia State Association of Realtors and the local Board of Realtors require same by adoption.
